Open Ph.D. position at IMDEA Materials - Filled!!
The Computational Solid Mechanics Group at IMDEA Materials Institute is seeking to fill a position of Research Assistant to work on the simulation of additive manufacturing processes. The researcher will work in the development of finite element models for complex thermomechanical processes and their calibration using experimental data. Funding for this researcher will come from IRIDISCENTE, a competitive research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
The tasks envisioned for the researcher involve involve using Mechanics, Finite Elements, Programming and Statistics. The researcher will be enrolled in a PhD program and carry out his/her PhD dissertation while working at IMDEA.

The Simulation and Modeling Group at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales of the Technical University of Madrid has opened a research position for a PhD student. For it, the group is searching for enthusiastic candidates to complete a PhD during, at most, four years in the Mechanical Engineering department of this school.
The selected candidate will join a dynamic group of researchers and work on a competitively-funded project that investigates numerical methods for topology optimization in solid mechanics.
