The Computational Solid Mechanics Group at IMDEA Materials Institute is seeking to fill a position of Research Assistant to work on the simulation of additive manufacturing processes. The researcher will work in the development of finite element models for complex thermomechanical processes and their calibration using experimental data. Funding for this researcher will come from IRIDISCENTE, a competitive research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. The tasks envisioned for the researcher involve involve using Mechanics, Finite Elements, Programming and Statistics.
